Polystyrenes, commonly known as EPS (for expanded polystyrene) or by the Dow Chemical brand name Styrofoam™, are amazingly versatile and economical. These foams are frequently cut with CNC equipment to complex designs without tooling costs. Design changes are easily accommodated with only a change in computer programming.
